Sundown Superhero just released the dates for their first upcoming tour, "The Rum & The Reckless." The tour is set to kick off on June 14th, with the band playing 7 scheduled shows in cities around southern Ontario.

The tour will be supported by bands such as; Nothing Serious, Among Legends, Freedom & The Astronaut, and many more, as our boys from Sundown Superhero bring the rum and the reckless to Canadian patrons.

Coming on the heels of their debut EP, "Wake Up The Neighbourhood," Sundown Superhero are back at it working on their 2nd studio EP.

Thrasher Magazine? That's right!

As the 9th Annual One Movement Invitational Skate Contest got under way, Sundown Superhero took the stage with a full-hype setlist of mostly original music - and a dash of covers. 

​

Much to the boys' delight, Thrasher Magazine - the leading international skateboard magazine, covered the event. As planned, Sundown Superhero brought the energy and vibes to the stage, but was it enough for Thrasher to give them a mention in their coverage of the event? 100%

The boys were back in town this weekend bringing the fire and vibes to The Animekon Playcation and One Movement Invitational Skate Contest.

On Friday, August 17th, 2018, Sundown Superhero played a one-hour set comprising of originals, and covers, including their radio singles, "California Dime" and "Midnight Knock" to an incredibly hype Animekon audience. The band threw in a number of unreleased original songs into the mix, keeping the show interesting, and after untamed chants of "One more song!" from the crowd erupted. the boys closed the show with an encore of Nirvana's, "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

Just 24 hours later, the 9th Annual One Movement Invitational Skate Contest got underway at Dover Beach where Sundown Superhero was once again set to take the stage. The band cranked out another setlist of original music - with a side of covers, as skaters from all over the world rode the wooden waves. The band's set was well-received by the crowd - who had a tough time splitting their attention between the skaters and Sundown Superhero. Who could blame them? After all, the Thrasher Magazine team, Chris Haslam, Rhino, and the local (and regional) skaters could be pretty distracting.

Just one week after the music video release of their new single, "Midnight Knock", the band visited Y103.3FM to have a nice chat with Carlie Pipe.

Although Emile & Phil were unable to make the interview, Craig and band photographer/videographer, Nathan "Hippie" Mack, held down the fort with Carlie. They discuss upcoming gigs, the band's history & influences, and the inspiration behind their music.

Following on the success of their debut single, “California Dime,” Barbadian pop/punk band, Sundown Superhero is about to drop a new single AND music video. Using 100% Bajan talent, “Midnight Knock,” drops TODAY!

The video, which was recorded and edited by Nathan “Hippie” Mack, also features cameos by local stars, Jah Reddis, and Lennox.

“We’re very excited to not only release our new song, but also the music video to accompany it.  We’re especially proud that it is 100% Bajan, shot right here in Barbados, using local talent, highlighting local places,” said Craig Haniff, lead songwriter and bassist in the band.

“We wanted to bring an upbeat, catchy pop/punk song with ‘Midnight Knock’, and we hope our fans enjoy it as much as we enjoyed producing it,” concluded Craig, who also wrote the lyrics, and music to the latest single, as well as the script for the video.

Keep an eye and ear out for Sundown Superhero at upcoming music festivals in Barbados, as well as regionally and internationally.

The band continues to make bold strides on Barbadian airwaves as they made their first on-air interview with Capital Media HD 99.3FM yesterday morning.

Featured on Capital's morning show with Rebecca & Krispin, the band discussed their new single, "California Dime", - the inspiration and story behind the song, along with, future long & short-term band goals.

"California Dime" continues to play in rotation on both local stations - Y103.3 FM and Capital Media HD 99.3FM.

Just 3 weeks after digitally releasing their new single, "California Dime", Sundown Superhero made their radio debut on Barbadian airwaves - exclusively on local station Y103.3 FM. 

The single, which peaked at #2 on Selecta Charts within a day of its digital release, was launched and featured on Y103.3's Dot Shot Extra today, Monday, April 23rd, 2018.

The band continues to work on its EP, "Wake Up The Neighbourhood", which is scheduled for release later this year.
